PURPOSE: Crash pad structure for a vehicle is provided to cut down expenses by making the part of a crash pad excluding the front part of plastic instead of magnesium, and to protect passengers by absorbing impact with installing a buffer unit in the head impact portion at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A crash pad core is composed of an instrument panel housing(10), a center facia housing(11) and a passenger seat airbag housing. The front part and both sides of the crash pad core are made of magnesium material(13), and the other part of the upper plate is made of plastic material(14). Foaming material is stacked on the surface of the crash pad core. Expenses are reduced with substituting the part of the magnesium material by plastic material. Passengers are protected with absorbing impact by forming the buffer unit in the head impact portion at a collision.
