FIELD: manufacture of materials for separating different media by filtering, for lowering noise and so on. SUBSTANCE: porous article includes porous working portion and non-detachably joined with it all- metal portion in the form of mounting member. Method for making article comprises steps of charging to casting mold heated blowing agent; pouring into casting mold melt non-ferrous metal at pressure gradient from 2 at and providing crystallization of metal; using metal in quantity providing impregnation of blowing agent layer and formation of all-metal portion of article; using as blowing agent filler consisting non-organic water-soluble salt with particle size 0.01 - 5.0 mm; after solidifying of casting removing blowing agent and mechanically working metallic portion for forming mounting member.
