PURPOSE: A movable piece of a linear motor and its manufacturing method are provided to improve radiation of heat by preventing the epoxy from flowing into the coil block. CONSTITUTION: The movable piece of a linear motor comprises a mover frame(116), a plurality of coil blocks having a plurality of coils formed on the upper part of the mover frame, an epoxy(110) for firmly fixing the coil blocks, a plurality of grooves(114) on the upper part of the mover frame, and a plurality of lead wires(118). The manufacturing method includes the steps of forming a plurality of coil blocks having coils on the upper part of the mover frame, inserting each flange into the grooves longitudinally formed on the coil block, molding the coil and coil blocks by using the epoxy, removing the inserted flange after the epoxy is hardened. The grooves are opened. The grooves are formed more little thickness than that of an epoxy to prevent epoxy from flowing into the flanges during the molding processing. The removal of the flanges forms the grooves on the upper part of the mover frame without filling by the epoxy. The opened grooves ventilate the air, which radiates the heat produced in the coils.
