FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the method is elaborated to predict sensitivity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT) strains to isoniazide due to simultaneous detection of mutations in three main MBT genes (katG, inhA, AhpC) indicating, in 90% cases, resistance to this preparation. For this purpose, primers were selected for DNA of three tested genes, amplification conditions were elaborated to provide running time for DNA amplicons of three genes under the same conditions, and electrophoresis conditions were elaborated for the possibility to detect mutations in three genes at one and the same electrophoretogram. The present innovation enables to rapidly detect MBT sensitivity to isoniazide (2 d) at high specificity. The method is distinguished by simple methodological approaches and could be used in clinical phthisiobacterial laboratories. EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics.
