<p>PURPOSE:To suppress a deflection in the horizontal direction when the rear end part of a rolled stock, is rolled out from an edging mill, and to prevent the generation of a camber by widening and narrowing side guides with a working cylinder arranged outside a housing. CONSTITUTION:When a deflection force is imparted on side guides 6 from the rear end part of a rolled stock 4, the force is transmitted from a rod 7 to a working cylinder 10 through a support frame 20. When the force is abnormally large, it is detected by the pressure detector 19 of a controller 12, and a switching valve 18 is changed over to a prescribed position. As a result, since pressed oil in the working cylinder 10, is relieved, the side guides 6 are retracted in a free state. Consequently, the generation of a damage accident caused by the action of an abnormal load from the rear end of the rolled stock 4, can be prevented.</p> |
