PURPOSE: A method for confirming a phone number while speaking in mobile telecommunication terminal is provided to promptly output a telephone number through a speaker, thereby easily confirming the telephone number while talking over the telephone. CONSTITUTION: A control part operates a voice recognition program in executing a telephone call mode if a user inputs a telephone number search key(200-225). A PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) codec part converts an input name into a PCM signal if a microphone inputs the name(230-240). A voice encoder converts the PCM signal into packet data(242). The control part searches a telephone database with the converted packet data for examining whether the same name exists in the database(245). If the same name exists, the control part converts a telephone number corresponding to the name into a voice signal, and transmits the voice signal through a speaker(250). If the control part receives a telephone number search release key input, the control part terminates the telephone call mode(260-265).
