PURPOSE: A side-by-side type refrigerator with a sealing apparatus of a second refrigerator compartment is provided to loss of chilled air due to leakage of chilled air. CONSTITUTION: A sealing apparatus includes a fixing bar(31) installed to penetrate a wall of an outside box(21) and a wall of an inside box(22) of a second refrigerator compartment(7) and to slide; a guide part formed to penetrate the wall of the outside box and the wall of the inside box of the second refrigerator compartment so as to guide sliding drive of the fixing bar; an opening device(33) connected with the fixing bar, and exposed to the outside of the refrigerator compartment to drive the fixing bar to slide; and an elastic support device, a compression spring(35), installed in the guide part to face an inner side of the fixing bar so as to elastically support the fixing bar outward.
