PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting signal transmission apparatus is provided to efficiently transmit data for data broadcast with good efficiency without being influenced by fluctuations in broadcast bands. CONSTITUTION: When a band occupancy rate of a television broadcast signal notified from a multiplexer exceeds a prescribed threshold value, a multiplex processing section(154) extracts a DII(Download Information Indication) section packet and an event message section packet from a DII section buffer(151) and an event message section buffer(152), writes the DII section packet and the event message section packet to an output buffer(155), and extracts a data broadcast service packet to which at least the highest priority is set from data broadcast service packet buffers(1531 to 153n) to write the packet to the output buffer.
