PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic computer system and its recovery method allowing a maintenance engineer to perform recovery processing without going to an installation site. SOLUTION: An electronic computer system comprises at least two computers connected over a network; one is a computer 11 that sends a recovery processing request packet upon receiving a signal, which indicates that a computer has stopped, from failure detection means 13 checking whether the computer has stopped and the other is a computer 10 that has a recovery processing control circuit 104 executing recovery processing upon receiving the recovery processing request packet. If it is determined that the failure has been recovered after the computer 10 receives the recovery processing request packet and a microprocessor 101 executes recovery processing, the recovery processing control circuit 104 is set to the reset-inhibition state to end recovery processing.
