PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem wherein an organic foamed body as a material substituting for paper has a small Young's modulus and a metal diaphragm has small internal loss and high density and so on. SOLUTION: Organic fiver is used as a material for increasing the internal loss, and an inorganic filter is used as a material for increasing the Young's modulus. Then the surface of the diaphragm is made to harden by impregnation with an Si-based inorganic impregnating agent, and heating and hardening. In a paper-making stage, paper is made of 48% polyester fiber (5 mm length), 4% polyethylene pulp, and 48% sepiolite by wet paper making method, and heated and dried to manufacture an intermediate product of a specified shape. In a processing stage, the intermediate product is impregnated with the Si inorganic impregnating agent and then heated in a metal mold to be subjected to primary hardening and to final hardening in an electric furnace, to obtain the desired diaphragm for speaker.
