PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle device for a camera by which the camera is easily operated from a remote place without directly operating the camera or a personal computer. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a receiving means 24 for receiving a radio signal such as infrared rays emitted from a remote controller, converting it into an electric signal and outputting it, an information processing means 80 for outputting an instruction to change the mode of the electronic camera 10 arranged in the cradle device 20 based on the radio signal which is received by the receiving means 24 or an indication to perform various kinds of control such as an instruction to reproduce the image recorded in the recording means of the electronic camera 10 and a terminal 86 for outputting the control instruction outputted from the information processing means 80 to the electronic camera 10 which is arranged in the cradle device 20. Then the disposed electronic camera 10 is easily controlled from the remote place without directly operating the camera 10, etc.
