PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal unit where burden is not imposed on a thumb even if a key is frequently depressed with one hand by using the thumb. SOLUTION: The array of ten keys 18 on a key input part 12 is made to be a right upward curve or a left upward curve if it is viewed from the front. A projection part 19 is fitted to a side opposite to the neck of the thumb of the hand carrying the portable terminal unit. Thus, key input by the thumb is facilitated.
