PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good battery performance liquid filled battery in which the electrolyte solution is quickly and surely filled into each stacked cells. SOLUTION: The liquid filled battery enclosed an electrolyte solution has a stacked body including a pressure plate, a spacer and a power generation part held between the plate and the spacer, a vacant space provided at the center and an ample placed at the vacant space part. The spacer has a tapered part facing the vacant space becoming smaller in proportion to the distance from the power generation part. The tapered angle X is preferable to be 0.5 deg.<=X<4 deg..
