PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack for containing an apparatus in which the wiring length of an LAN cable is not lengthened at the time of linking the racks, the LAN cable is insusceptible to noise from other LAN cable and can be wired easily with no danger of being tampered. SOLUTION: The rack 1 for containing an apparatus is provided with a plurality of wiring openings 12 for passing columns 4 in the lateral direction such that the wiring openings 12 of adjacent racks 1 are interconnected when the they are linked. LAN cables 13 are wired through the wiring openings 12.
