PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolytic film for a fuel cell using a novel polyimide, in which the thin film can be made, which film has high proton conductivity and resistance to absorption for a long term at high temperature and is excellent in hydrolytic resistance. SOLUTION: The polymer electrolytic film for the fuel cell is composed of sulfonated aromatic polyimide synthesized by using aromatic diamine containing sulfonic group composed of the structure shown in undermentioned chemical formula (4) or (5) as a diamine component.
