PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety receptacle in which an insert opening is blocked when the receptacle is not used while a plug is easily inserted when it is used. SOLUTION: A rotary lid, so provided as to rotate with the intermediate part of a plurality of plug insert openings as a center, is provided on the front surface of insert opening of a receptacle. The rotary lid covers the plug insert openings at a reference position while the plug insert openings are exposed when it is rotated to a prescribed position. The rotary lid is easily rotated by a terminal of the plug while difficult to be rotated by a finger, etc. So, a plug is easily inserted to use while it is safe against a child while not in use.
