PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of stable addressing, minimizing the influence from a specified driving cell on the discharge conditions of other cells, increasing the margin of address voltage. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a first and a second substrates separated by any distance, partitions forming discharge spaces arranged in non-stripe pattern between the first and second substrates, address electrodes formed on the first substrate in one direction (y) and arranged inside and outside of the discharge spaces, discharge sustaining electrodes formed on the second substrate in one direction (x) and arranged inside and outside of the discharge spaces. The width AW of the part inside a discharge space where address electrodes are placed is wider than the width Aw of outside and AW is within 40 to 75% of distance D between partitions in x-direction. |
