PURPOSE: An air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to prevent sudden increase of temperature in a car room when the vehicle is parked with the air conditioner stopped in summer. CONSTITUTION: A cold accumulating part(20) is installed between an evaporator(2) and a low pressure refrigerant tube(6). A heat exchange part(22) is connected with the cold accumulating part for gaseous refrigerant to flow from the cold accumulating part. A coolant pump(24) is installed to the cold accumulating part to forcibly circulate and flow out coolant cooled by working fluid cooled in the cold accumulating part.
