PURPOSE: A length-adjustable writing tool is provided to insert and pull out a ball pen lead easily into and out of a case. CONSTITUTION: The writing tool comprises: an outer case(10); an inner case(20) slidably moving within the outer case and having a through hole(24) at one side; a ball pen lead(40) mounted within the inner case and being projectable toward the through hole; a ball pen lead adjusting portion(30) allowing the ball pen lead to project through the through hole or come into the through hole; a first fixing unit for fixing the outer and inner cases at the maximum insertion position; and a second fixing unit for fixing the outer and inner cases at the minimum insertion position.
