PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management system and method for allowing network equipments connected to a network to be used for only specified users. SOLUTION: A management system acting as one appearance of this invention that is composed of management object devices connected to a network and a manager for managing the management object devices has a information recording medium for storing equipment identifiers specific to the management object devices and the management object devices of which each includes a reading part capable of reading the equipment identifiers stored in the information recording medium and has predetermined equipment identifiers assigned, and when an equipment identifier in the information recording medium is identical with a predetermined equipment identifier, the reading part allows the other each part of the management object devices to be activated.
