PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type data broadcast system that allows a receiver to correctly reproduce a transport stream at a substantial reproduction time even when a transmitter distributes the transport stream at a rate different from the substantial transmission rate. SOLUTION: In the storage type data broadcast system (TMR, RVR) that transmits a transport stream (TSI) at a second transmission rate different from a first transmission rate at which contents are reproduced, and extracts and stores packet data (TSO, TSO') forming the contents from the transmitted transport stream (TSO), the transmitter (TMR) attaches reproduction time information (St) at reproduction at the first transmission rate to each of packet data (P) forming the contents to generate a second transport stream (TSO) and transmits it. The receiver (TMR) receives the transmitted second transport stream (TMR, TS) and reproduces the transport stream on the basis of the reproduction time information (St).
