PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly show an image on a display in order to facilitate a selection operation of the image data of an original image desired by a user. SOLUTION: In an image processor for dividing the image data into tiles composed of 1024 pixels in total obtained by multiplying horizontally scanned 32 pixels by vertically scanned 32 pixels and performing image processing in the unit of a tile, a thumbnail value is pregenerated in each related tile before displaying a reduced image. If the employed image data compressing method is a JPEG method, a direct current component value generated during compression is utilized to generate a thumbnail. |
