PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna transmitter-receiver that attains calibration without using a calibration antenna. SOLUTION: At calibration, switches 21(1), 21(2) disconnect the connection between two antenna elements 11(1), 11(2) among N antenna elements and a circulator 12(1), and a switch 23 selects either of the two antenna elements. In the case of calibration of a reception section, a coupler 15 distributes part of the output of a transmitter 13(1), a frequency converter 22A receives the distributed signal, converts it into a signal with a received frequency and outputs it, A calibration arithmetic section 26 calibrates the output signal by using a value received at each branch. In the case of calibration of a transmission section, a switch 16 gives a signal outputted from a frequency converter 22B to a receiver 14(1). Then the calibration arithmetic section 26 conducts calibration by using a value received by the receiver 14(1).
