PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for monitoring a network to notify, which notifies the occurrence of network failures to a manager being present at a distance remote from a network monitoring device. SOLUTION: Devices 2 under management swaps data with other devices via a first network 3. A management terminal 1 monitors data flowing through the first network 3 to analyzes target data. When results of the data analysis is not normal, a failure report is assembled to be generated and the failure contents are notified to a notified device 4 via a second network 2. The notified device 4 receives the failure contents notified from the management terminal 1. The network manager that has viewed the received failure report tells the failure contents to an associated department.
