<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a small cooling fan for cooling the MPU of a notebook-size personal computer, or the like, that since backflow of air taking place easily at the air outlet of the housing causes loss in the air volume and the static pressure, fins at the heat dissipating part cannot be cooled sufficiently and the temperature of heat generating components cannot be lowered significantly. SOLUTION: The small cooling fan comprises a rotary fan body 8 having blades disposed in a flat fan housing 7, and an air duct section 10 for preventing backflow disposed continuously to an air outlet 9 on the outer side of the forward end part of the blade in a rotary fan body 8 while increasing the inner height over that of the fan room. Since backflow of air does not take place easily at the air outlet 9, loss of static pressure is reduced and the air volume can be increased with small size.</p> |
