PURPOSE: A stiffener for a joist of a steel house is provided to improve structural efficiency of a joist and to prevent the damage of a pipeline. CONSTITUTION: The stiffener(30) for a joist of a steel house comprises: a stiffening plate(31) provided with a penetration space(32) for letting a pipeline pass through; and a guide part(33) protruding from the border of the penetration space(32), having the appropriate shape to be fitted to the perforated part of a web and guiding the pipeline to be interposed smoothly.
