The fixing comprises a retaining disc (12) which is fixed on the snowboard, a base plate (11) which can be coupled to a boot and, between them, teeth (49,51) located in a central opening, which enable angular rotation positions between the disc and the base plate to be determined. A catch (24,25) on the disc can be displaced from a deployed position (26), in which it encroaches on a transition zone (28) between the disc and the base plate, and a retracted position where it does not encroach on this transition zone.
