PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document control system, a document control method, and an information reading device capable of easily controlling and correcting electronic documents. SOLUTION: Identification information and coordinate information described on a print medium 1 for printing a document are read in a printer 601, and the read information is stored in a document control database 606 in correspondence with a document 10. History information on the printing and updating of the document 10 is stored in the record having a relation with the corresponding record of the document control database 606. When the document is updated, a correction history number is advanced by one increment in a history control database 610 to register the updated document in a new record. The updated information is presented to a user based on the identification information read out at the time of the correction.
