PURPOSE: A safety system for a washing machine is provided to precisely control the safety switch by precise contact between an actuator and an operation plate by the manipulation of a control screw regardless of the mounting position of the safety switch. CONSTITUTION: A safety system for a washing machine includes a rectangular case type body part(30), an oblong operation plate(35), a control screw(40) for lifting the operation plate, and a safety switch(10) of which contact point is controlled by the lifting of a protrusion part(35A) of the operation plate. The body part has a screw hole(25) at an upper part, and a cut hole(30A) and a vertical guide groove(30B) at both sides of an inner wall. The operation plate has the elongated protrusion part protruded via the cut hole of the body and a guide protrusion(35B) to be guided by the lifting of the guide groove, and is coupled with compression coil springs(31,32). |
