PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform remote control of a household electrical apparatus without having to make telephone calls artificially. SOLUTION: This remote control system of a household electrical apparatus is constituted of an information terminal 1a which transmits radio waves by which a self position can be recognized, a base station 2b which recognizes the position of the information terminal on the basis of the radio wave and transmits position information, a control station 2, having a processing means which decides that the information terminal exists on a prescribed position isolated from a home 3 in which the household electrical apparatus, is installed, on the basis of the position information, calls control equipment (not shown) of the household electrical apparatus installed in the home, and transmits a signal for controlling the prescribed household electrical apparatus to be controlled to the called control equipment, and the control equipment which receives the control signal and transmits a signal for driving the household electrical apparatus to be controlled, on the basis of the received control signal.
