PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present retrieved information taking a time necessary for gathering digital data into consideration when retrieving for gathering the digital data from archives on a network is made by using a terminal device which can be connected to the network. SOLUTION: Searching based on the searching conditions a user designates is made at a contents retrieving part 3a of a user's terminal 3 to a group of media stored in first to Nth archives 21 to 2N on a network 1, the communication rate to the archives in which each hit medium is stored is measured at a QoS measuring part 3b, and a QoS scenario-introducing part 3c determines the order of presenting the group of the media hit in consideration of the importance of the time for gathering the data in accordance with the user's requirements.
