PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular magnetic recording device with simple device constitution by reducing heat-demagnetization, securing a reliability of recording life of information, and writing magnetic information stably. SOLUTION: Main pole 1 of a perpendicular recording head is optically assisted by performing oblique incidence 23 of light to a medium 5 from a head side. The perpendicular magnetic recording device with small heat demagnetization, long life of recorded information and high preservation reliability is provided.
