PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment, with which convenience for a user can be improved by preventing operation unintended by an operator on the side of a transmitter from being executed. SOLUTION: The facsimile equipment capable of receiving a sub-address symbol, has a means for distributing received information to a personal computer by connecting the equipment to a local area network and a means for registering a sub-address signal and a communication specification corresponding to a memory box and when a connection is selected to the local area network in the middle, corresponding to the memory box, the information of the registered sub-address signal is checked. When specified information is stored corresponding to these contents, it is reported to the user.
