PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time and labor of a sender in the service of mail or door-to-door delivery or the like, to improve the efficiency of the service and to smooth the service. SOLUTION: The sender sticks an IC tag, in which his/her identification number is recorded, to mail and posts it. In a collection/delivery station, destination information and the identification number of the sender are read from the IC tag (S41), the size and weight of the main are detected, and postage is calculated by referring to a prescribed postage rule from the detected size and weight of the mail and the read destination information (S42). Then, by retrieving a user data base with the read identification information as a key, the account number of a user is specified (S43) and the calculated postage is automatically reduced from the account of the specified account number (S44). Then, completion of deduction is reported to the user by a reporting method registered beforehand (S45). |
