PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To see that a solenoid does not have an adverse effect such as malfunction, etc., on a control circuit. SOLUTION: A solenoid is equipped with a coil frame 1, a coil 2 being wound on the coil frame 1, a yoke 10 surrounding the coil 2, a fixed iron core being fixed within the yoke 10, a moving iron core 4 being provided with a collar- shaped metallic stopper plate 6 integrally at one end positioned outside the yoke 10 and being driven with the other end as a tip toward the fixed iron core 3 on the center axis of the coil 2 by the excitation of the coil 2, and a metallic return spring 11 having a coil-shaped compression part 11a being compressed between the yoke 10 and the stopper plate 6 by directly pressure- contacting with the outside of the yoke 10 and pressure-contacting with the inside of the stopper plate 6 through a circular spring guide 12 softer than the stopper plate 6. The compression part 11a and the stopper plate 6 are electrically connected with each other through a conductive member 20a which is not displaced together with the action of the moving iron core 4.
