The battery is contained in a sealed enclosure fitted with an escape orifice (1b) in the upper part. The orifice is connected to the exterior by a pipe (5). A depression is formed inside the pipe so as to suck out contaminated air. The contaminated air flow is accelerated in the pipe by means of a constriction (6) after the depression stage. A fan (7) regulated by a hydrogen rate controller inside the enclosure, ensures evacuation of the contaminated air from the enclosure. The pipe (5) interior has a shape (6) designed to ensure a venturi effect. The controller is a sensor which transmits to an electronic unit the hydrogen rate, as a function of a pre-defined level, so as to determine the air flow generated by the fan (7). The evacuation pipe exterior outlet may be in the wing or roof of the vehicle. |
