PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a text expressing an object from a drawing shown by design information about the object. SOLUTION: 'A text conversion part' converts a mode of the drawing expressed by the design information into the text, based on arrangement information, connection information and attribute information correlated to the design information read out from a CAD/CAE database 4, using words and phrases read out from a substitution word database 5 for retrieval, as to the object selected by a user.
