PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium driving device capable of highly accurately adjusting the position of a linear driving means on a turntable so that the moving direction of a head device by the linear driving means coincides with a predetermined width direction with respect to the rotational center axis of the turntable. SOLUTION: This recording medium driving device is provided with a chassis 70, a turning plate 63 turnably disposed on the chassis 70, a turning center regulating means 61 for regulating the turning center of the turning plate 63, and a turning-driving means 62 for turning the turning plate 63 around the turning center. At least a part of linear driving means is fixed on the turning plate 63. The turning plate 63 is turned by the turning-driving means 62, and accordingly an adjustment is made so that the moving direction of the turning plate 63 by the turning-driving means 62 coincides with a predetermined width direction with respect to the turning center axis of the turntable 26.
