DISPLAY CONTROLLER FOR DISPLAYING GAIN SETTING VALUE BY HUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller that enables a user to identify a gain setting value by having only to view a displayed color at a glance and can optionally set a range of the gain setting value for varying the hue of a hue variable display device. SOLUTION: An electronic volume 1 receives a music signal, adjusts the gain by a sound volume setting level and outputs to an amplifier 2. A CPU 4a outputs the sound volume setting level to the electronic volume 1 depending on an output of a rotary encoder 5. The CPU 4a generates a hue control signal to change the hue of three color light emitting diodes 10 depending on the sound volume setting level by referencing a ROM table 4b. The CPU 4a captures the sound volume setting level when an upper limit setting switch 8 is operated and stores it as an upper limit xhigh of the sound volume setting level to change the hue between 'purple' and 'red'. The hue can stepwise be varied from the sound volume setting level of 0 to the upper limit xhigh .
