PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an electrode plate for use in a lead storage battery that has superior productivity and less variation of thickness of the electrode plate and bulk density, and its device. SOLUTION: This method for producing the electrode plate for use in the lead storage battery, in which paste 4 housed in a hopper 3 is charged into a grid 2 placed on a conveyer 1, is characterized in that a pressure controlling plate 7 in the hopper 3 prevents circulation of the returned paste 4, and when circulation pressure is more than a prescribed value, the returned paste 4 is circulated upward through a slit 72 set on the controlling plate 7. Furthermore, it is characterized in that this device has the conveyer 1, the hopper 3, a charging roll 5 and the pressure controlling plate 7, and then the conveyer moves with the grid 2 placed on it, the hopper houses the paste in the inside and is arranged in the upper part of the conveyer, the charging roll circulates the paste in the hopper, the pressure controlling plate has the slit and a means movable according to the circulation pressure. |
