PURPOSE: A water-saving water faucet is provided to achieve improved user convenience by allowing a user to step on the pedal so as to open/shut the water faucet in a quick manner. CONSTITUTION: A water faucet comprises an upper valve body(10) having a water flow channel and an outlet port having a predetermined diameter formed at the inner surface of the valve body; a lower valve body screw-coupled to the upper valve body, which has a water inlet port; a packing shaft reciprocating within the upper valve body and the lower valve body; a rubber packing arranged at an end of the packing shaft; a steel wire(50) arranged at the end of the packing shaft, which moves the packing shaft; a packing shaft housing for accommodating the packing shaft, which penetrates through the bottom surface of the lower valve body; a housing lid for fixing the end of the packing housing in the lower valve body; an automatic water flow control valve fitted to an end of the packing shaft, which controls flow rate and pressure of the water in the valve; a first elastic member supported by a protrusion of the upper valve body, which moves the automatic water flow control valve; a second elastic member arranged at the end of the packing shaft, which provides an elastic force to the movement of the packing shaft; a water pressure control lot arranged at the end of the packing housing, which controls the elasticity of the second elastic member; a wire control lot arranged at an end of the water pressure control lot, which prevents the steel wire from being loosened; and a pedal unit arranged at an end of the steel wire so as to move the steel wire by the foot of a user.
