The seat comprises a seat part (2) and a back (3) mounted on the vehicle floor (4) and movable between use and retracted positions. On each side of the back is a pivot (11) for the back in a first folded down top horizontal position and a second pivot (12) for the back in a second bottom folded down bottom horizontal position. The two pivots are connected by a connecting link (13). A catch for the connecting link can be moved between a locking position of the connecting part, for tipping the back about the first pivot and an unlocked position for the tipping of the back about the second pivot.
