SOLUTION: A distributed Bragg grating 148 of the variable wavelength mode synchronization laser is provided with N diffraction regions for reflecting the light beams in the oscillation wavelengthsλ1 toλN. Each diffraction region of N diffraction regions has the pitch which continuously changes around the pitch corresponding to the oscillation wavelengthλn for the nth diffraction region (1<=n<=N, n is an integer), also has a diffraction grating each diffracton grating of 148) for reflecting the light of the oscillation wavelengthλn.
