<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and sure safety confirmation method and system. SOLUTION: In a CATV network system, a home terminal 40 being a terminal controller of each consumer is provided with a switch sensor 48 for sensing ON/OFF of a power switch 49. When a consumer receives a TV program, that is, when the power switch 49 of the home terminal 40 is closed, a CPU 47 transmits the ON information to a home terminal controller 15 of a central device 10. The home terminal controller 15 stores the ON information to determines the safety of the consumer. For example, when the switch 49 is not closed for a prescribed period, the home terminal controller 15 directly informs the consumer about a message through a telephone line 19. When no reply is received, the home terminal controller 15 urges a manager 18 of the consumer to confirm the safety of the consumer by means of the Internet 17 and the telephone line 19 or the like.</p> |
