PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding material which exhibits an excellent electromagnetic wave shielding performance over a wide range between a low-frequency band and a high-frequency band, can be reduced in weight and thinned in thickness, and is excellent in flexibility and extensibility. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic shielding material 2 consists of a shielding layer 10 consisting of a metal-containing resin and a protective layer 20 formed on the front and/or rear surface to protect the layer 10. Also, the material 2 is preferably provided with an adhesive layer 30 on its rearmost surface. Further, the material 2 can shield electric field components of electromagnetic waves of 10 MHz-10 GHz for 10 dB or more, and has a surface resistivity of 5Ω/sq or low.
