<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip resistor which can obtain enough effective length for a resistance layer, and consequently can obtain enough effective area for the resistance layer, even if the size is reduced. SOLUTION: In an area where the resistance layer 12 and a top face electrode layer 14 are connected, the top face electrode layer 14 is formed on the top face of the resistance layer 12. In other words, in an overlap section 16 where the resistance layer 12 and the top face electrode layer 14 partially overlap each other, the resistance layer 12 and the top face electrode layer 14 are stacked so that the resistance layer 12 is disposed on the downside of the top face electrode layer 14. As the chip resistor for this case, a chip resistor of the 0603 size is preferable.</p> |
