CHANNEL CHANGEOVER DEVICE, CHANNEL CHANGEOVER METHOD AND CHANNEL CHANGEOVER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change over a channel without missing contents for a commercial message period. SOLUTION: A reception section 1 receives a television broadcast program and an audio multiplex flag detection section 6 detects the attribute of a program being contents and of a commercial message. When detecting a change in the attribute from the contents into the commercial message, a system controller 7 instructs a demultiplexer section 2 to change over the received channel to other channel for the commercial message period. After the changeover to other channel, when detecting a change in the attribute from the commercial message into the contents in the original channel, the system controller 7 determines the end of the commercial message period and switches the received channel to the original channel. Further, the system controller determines it to be the end of the commercial message time when a predetermined period elapses as the commercial message period and changes over the received channel to the original channel.
