PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure for attaching an appliance made of a resin to a wall surface wherein the distortion of its lower housing is so made as small as possible that its board is not affected by the distortion, when attaching directly its lower housing made of a resin to the wall surface. SOLUTION: The appliance made of a resin is formed out of a lower housing 1 attached directly to an attaching box present in a wall surface and an upper housing 2 engaged with the lower housing which has an operational portion 6. The lower housing has screw holes 3a, 3b for fastening it to the attaching box and has distortion preventing holes 4b, 5b, 4a, 5a each of which is provided on one of the upper, lower, right, and left sides of the screw hole and prevents the distortion of the lower housing generated around the screw hole when fastening the lower housing to the attaching box by screws. At least one of the distortion preventing holes which are provided on the upper and lower sides of the screw hole is so formed out of another plurality of distortion preventing holes 41b, 42b, 43b, that the strength of the lower housing made of a resin is maintained when fastening the lower housing to the attaching box by the screws.
