<p>In a saddle-type deflection coil mounted on a color image receiving tube with a flat screen plane, the end on an electron gun side and the end on a screen side of a pair of deflection field generating sections (4, 4) elongating along the tube axis direction are coupled with an electron gun side crossover section (2) and a screen side crossover section (3). An opening (11) surrounded by the pair of deflection field generating sections (4, 4) and both the crossovers (2, 3) have the arrangement of a first subcoil (5) and second subcoil (6). The crossovers (51, 61) of each subcoil are located by mutual displacement in the tube axial direction.
