The invention relates to a method of making a hollow, foamed plastic, laminated articles using gas assisted molding devices. The resultant articles, as shown in Figure 4, has a foamed platic part with a show-face surface (50). The methods includes forming a porous mass of molten plastic (55) in the mold cavity containing the laminat (50). The molten plastic has a hollow portion (65) made by the injection of gas into the mold cavity.
